Bill Hicks used to finish his shows with this:
Life’s like a ride at an amusement park, and when you go on it you think it’s real cause that’s how powerful our minds are, and the ride goes up and down and round and round, it has thrills and chills, and its very brightly colored; and its very loud. But it’s fun for a while, some have been on the ride for a long time they begin to question is this real or is this just a ride? And other people have remember and they come back to us and they say “hey! don’t worry don’t be afraid ever cause this is just a ride!”, and we kill those people. Shut him up I have a lot invested in this ride, shut him up! look at my furrows of worry, look at my big bank account and my family, this has to be real. It’s just a ride, but we always kill the good guys who try and tell us that, you ever realize that? and let the demons run amok. But it doesn’t matter, cause it’s just a ride and we can change it any time we want. It’s only a choice, no effort, no work, no job, no savings of money, just a choice right now, between fear…and love.
What's your opinion on the quote?
Is it not true that in the right time, in the right place, we are capable
of anything? The series of Saw movies are the perfect example of this, does
that mean that we, as human beings, can't truly uphold any of our
so called beliefs?

I don't think you're right. No matter how hard someone may try, a human will never be able to flap his arms and fly, so no, you cannot do anything you want in this "ride". A roller coaster has to follow the rules of physics.
If you decide you want to build the supper-craziest roller coaster ever, with sharp turns that defy physics, with beams to close to your head and speeds that do not allow for the wheels to stay glued to the rails. Those you ride this ride run the risk of being decapitated, flying off the roller coaster, with head trauma, ending up in a hospital, finding yourself in jail, being caught over dosing, being buried alone because you left everyone behind because you got bored of waiting in line to the safe roller coaster.
Many will choose the boring but safety tested coaster for their ride. The many safety nets, guard rails, and slow speeds many not give you the same thrills as the fast one, but you know you wont end up in a body bag, unless the boring ride lasts too long and you end up jumping out the side.
Technology in this world doesn't allow for both to be combined without compromise, so whether this ride is real or if it's just a transition to something greater, you still have to make many choices about it. Are you ride the fastest one and be done with it quickly? Or are you going to ride slowly and await the end longer?
